Douglas Eisenberg has been involved in all phases of A&E Real Estate’s development since its founding in 2011 and determines the firm’s strategic direction and investments. Before starting A&E, he was the COO of a multifamily operating company where his responsibilities included all aspects of asset management, property management, finance and development, including identifying and evaluating potential acquisitions, conducting negotiations with sellers and lenders, identifying local partners and handling the disposition of mature investments. Prior to 1998, he worked for the mayor of New York and the Bronx borough president as a special assistant, participating in projects including the generation of alternative plans for the redevelopment of various neighborhoods. Eisenberg has also been an adviser to city- and statewide political campaigns, including the campaigns of former Mayor David N. Dinkins. He holds a bachelor of science degree in urban and regional planning from Cornell University and a JD from Brooklyn Law School, where he was an editor of the Brooklyn Law Review.
